[Project Overview]
This project is the anti-wear engineering for the flue gas recirculation fan impeller of the Phase II units at Jurong Power Plant. The fan is a centrifugal fan designed and manufactured by Jiangsu Jin Tong Ling Fluid Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. Due to the delivery of flue gas containing large amounts of dust from the boiler tail section, the original impeller exhibited a high wear rate, easily leading to issues such as excessive fan vibration and reduced output. Considering the unit's normal wide-load operation and the boiler gas temperature regulation requirements, in order to enhance unit operational safety and regulation performance, during the unit minor overhaul, a wear-resistant impeller was procured and replaced, together with matching bearing housings, shafts, and JM-type couplings, ensuring long-term stable fan operation.
[Construction Site Work]
The construction site strictly followed the technical specifications and standard operating procedures. Sample verification of specially shaped ceramic components and CAD ceramic layout design were completed in advance. During the operation, precise control was maintained over impeller dimensions, with shaft hole roughness meeting the required standards. The dovetail groove ceramic inlay process was adopted, and anti-wear treatment was applied to the blades, rear disk, collector, and other areas as required, avoiding the bonded ceramic method. The shaft disc bolts were connected using reamed bolts and welded solid, with continuous full-penetration welds that underwent magnetic particle inspection. Simultaneously, installation and fitting of the cast steel split bearing housings and 42CrMo quenched and tempered shafts were completed. The entire process was carried out in strict compliance with standard procedures, ensuring project quality met GB 50661 standards and dynamic balance G2.5 grade requirements, with the replacement task efficiently completed.
