The titanium-shielded wear-resistant ceramic fan impeller applies metal oxide ceramics to the surface of the impeller flow passage to enhance the wear resistance of the impeller surface. This type of fan impeller typically uses engineering ceramics such as alumina, silicon carbide, and zirconia as the main materials. A ceramic layer is composited onto the working surface of the fan impeller, and areas subject to severe localized wear are reinforced with secondary sintered silicon nitride toughened ceramics or zirconia-toughened alumina ceramics. These ceramic materials have high hardness; the hardness of toughened alumina composite materials is HRA≥86, and can reach above HRA94. Their wear resistance against abrasive particle erosion is more than 5 times higher than conventional treatment methods such as tungsten carbide surfacing welding, spray welding, and spray fusing, and more than 100 times higher than the base 16Mn steel.
【Technical Advantages】
Through ceramic-metal composite manufacturing technology, the composite layer of ceramic and metal maintains a shear strength of up to 35MPa under high-speed rotation of the impeller, with a maximum temperature resistance of up to 450℃. Depending on the operating temperature conditions, ceramic composite manufacturing processes such as adhesive bonding, welding, and inlaying can be adopted, with an operational safety factor of over 100. This ensures that the ceramics do not detach during operation.
